Its purpose is to clarify cultural data in Prague and make them available in a form that is easy to understand. Prague Culture Map is intended for a wide range of users: from officials and politicians to cultural organisations to the public and serves as a basis for planning and informed making decisions based on data.

MAPK is run by Creative Prague and belongs to the Capital City of Prague (under the auspices of the Department of Culture and Tourism MHMP). This project was funded by EU resources, the Operational Programme Prague — Pole of Growth and is operated in cooperation with OICT.
