We provide arguments and evidence for the development of an environment for culture and art. We have prepared an overarching document Cultural Policy of the City of Prague 22+, which defines the long-term vision, priorities and goals of the capital in the field of culture, art and cultural and creative sectors. Our project MAPK — Prague Culture Map collects data on culture, infrastructure, cultural and creative sectors and other areas of cultural events in Prague. The collected data will allow us to analyze and find solutions or recommendations for the long-term development of culture in the city. We are also engaged in the evaluation of established programs, organizations and projects.

Cultural policy formulates goals agreed upon by a broad cultural community. Investigating Cultural Behavior allows us to know the needs of Prague residents in the field of culture, in other words, the demand of Prague people for culture. Oh, thanks Prague map of culture we are able to view the supply side in the areas of cultural infrastructure, cultural financing, cultural and creative sectors, etc.

It is the combination of the Cultural Policy of Prague, the Survey of Cultural Behavior and the MAPK data tool that allows us to find answers to a number of complex questions in culture. And in doing so, it helps to strategically develop culture in Prague based on data, not impressions.
