The aim of the project is to revitalize the public space through the collaboration of various social groups and creative interventions. The call supports community and arts projects that strengthen local identity, encourage citizen engagement and bring new perspectives on the use of public space.
In 2024, it was test-supported The project of the same name realized by the Prague 3 City Hall in cooperation with the Nursing Home in Prague 3 and invited artists. In addition, the Atrium Cultural Center in Žižkov and Creative Prague became partners of the project. It was a project in which the statements of elderly women about the places where they lived most of their lives in Prague 3 were captured. These narratives were rewritten by contemporary writers and writers (Petra Hůlová, Petr Borkovec, Dominika Prejdová and others), and invited artists (Lela Geislerová, Jaromír 99, Vojtěch Šeda or Jindřich Janíček) captured the street or particular house. The resulting collaboration brought a new perspective to familiar places, and brought together communities in the streets of Žižkov.
During March, Creative Prague will review your answers or contact you by phone. By the end of March, we will evaluate which projects and how we will support in 2025. For more information, write to the project coordinator at ondrej.horak@kreativnipraha.eu.
