PKF 2021

The first edition of the Prague Cultural Forum, which took place on April 27-29, 2021, took place online from the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning. The topic was the burning question: “What is the future of culture? “

The first PKF opened a discussion on the new Cultural Policy of the Capital City of Prague. The aim was to start long-term cooperation between local actors in the fields of art, culture and cultural and creative sectors and to start bringing contemporary foreign trends to the Prague environment.

Program

PKF 2021 had four program blocks:

  • FUTURE: POLICY — The role of the city in the development of culture
  • FUTURE: ART — Support across artistic genres
  • FUTURE: ECONOMY — Promoting cultural and creative sectors
  • FUTURE: COMMUNITY — Community culture and institutional openness

FUTURO: POLÍTICA

How must the city's approach to promoting culture and cultural and creative sectors change in a situation of rapid development of society caused not only by the pandemic, but also by climate change, the spread of digital technologies and social change? What should a modern cultural policy that responds to these changes look like?
