There is a new exhibition at the Creative Prague Gallery!
We are - with a few children's exceptions - a predominantly ladies' club for ages 3 to 73. Regularly every month we meet in the library on Luziny, in the local “aquarium”, to tear, cut and glue together our little artistic works.
Our meeting started in 2022 as a chamber program of the Municipal Library in Prague with a simple idea: everyone can create collages. There is no need to have expensive colors, years of study or previous experience. All you need is scissors, glue and enough old books and magazines, of which there is no shortage in the library. And for this, of course, a good mood and a desire to create.
Over the time the club has existed, a solid base of women has formed, whose works we exhibit today. A strong community has emerged that supports, inspires and connects with each other across generations. Thus, it transcends the boundaries of the creation of collages itself and becomes a place of sharing, support and friendship.
We are still welcoming new members and members. On the posters, we promise to meet each other every month for the joint creation and sharing of cultural experiences... And as one of Cimrman's students aptly remarked: “When plundering feathers tearing paper, it was said... to the point of shame. “
