We have published Measures for the development of cultural and creative sectors!

This publication presents a survey of possible tools for the development of cultural and creative sectors at the regional level. Its aim is to provide a toolbox from which representatives of cities, counties and state administrations can draw on when creating new measures.

A similar overview of good practice from the Czechia and abroad was still lacking, and representatives of the public administration always had to start their own research when creating strategic materials or updating them.

With this publication, Creative Prague wants to support CCSI development efforts at regional and national level and to offer a comprehensive overview of good practice. Of course, the enumeration is not exhaustive, nor does it represent already finished measures. This is a basic summary that states:

• problems that should be addressed by these measures;

• draft solutions;

• examples of the so-called Key Performance Indicator (KPI) — an indicator that determines measurable outputs for the year;

• a framework estimate of annual costs depending on KPI and international practice;

• examples of good practice as a source of inspiration.

In the development of new measures to support CCSI, it is appropriate to:

1. adjust the selected measures for the needs of a particular region;

2. create a comprehensible basis for political representation;

3. after public participation and preliminary approval by the Council, develop the measures into a “project card”

In the annexes at the end of this publication you will find examples for inspiration — a basis for political representation (Creative Center Orionka) and two project cards for measures in building a creative center. The materials were created by the Creative Prague team and are only a design and demonstration.
